All applicants are required to sit for the examination which is administered in early November.

All applicants are also required to submit copies of their school records for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade which show the grades received and placement level for all courses, attendance record and standardized achievement and aptitude testing scores.  A release for this information is contained with the Application for Admission.

Evaluation and Acceptance

Personal interviews are not required as part of the admission process.  The Administration may, however, request an interview with the applicant and his/her parents if the need is felt for more information.

If there are special conditions which should be considered in reviewing the student's application, parents must provide the school with the pertinent data, ie., students with a documented specific learning disability must forward the most current educational evaluation, psychological evaluation, and social history assessment.  Failure to make known conditions that could affect the student's full participation in the total educational program of the school or the satisfactory completion of graduation requirements will be grounds for the school to withdraw any offer of admission.

Completed applications are reviewed during the months of November and December. Applicants are notified of their admission status in January.

All offers of admission are preliminary, and are contingent upon the student's successful completion of 8th grade.  The records of all prospective students are reviewed again in July.  The Administration reserves the right to withdraw the offer of admission if it notes a significant change in the prospective student's academic or behavioral performance.

All information concerning the student which is gathered during the admissions process is considered confidential.  Should the parent withdraw the student's application, or should the student not be offered admission, the student's admission file will be destroyed.
