  • Saturday, Fecb. 2, 2013 - Bus for laser tag will leave PJ (after the 3-7pm practice). Cost is $30 and includes bus, laser tag games, and dinner. Please bring CASH only! Bus will return to PJ by 10:30pm.

Today, a donation of $10 to Habitat for Humanity will get you a green Habitat wlak-a-thon t-shirt! Come quickly to the Habitat table during lunch – there is a limited supply of shirts!

The deadline for the 2012 Miss Montague Township Queen Contest is June 22nd. Applications are available at Town Hall or online at www.montaguenj.org

The End of Season banquet for all or the Softballs team will be held on Monday June 18th at Farmstead Golf and Country Club. All l girls must have their forms and checks in by June 1st. Checks and reservation forms should be returned to Mrs. Powers, Jackie Powers or Mr. Appleton.

The Pope John Football Team will be hiring students for game operations positions. You can be part of the team without wearing a helmet and experience what it is like to be on the sidelines with the Lions. There are positions in the areas of game filming, media relations, statistics, and equipment management. All positions will count towards service hours and the experience will be great to have on a college resume. Any students, both male and female, who are going to be juniors or seniors next year are encouraged to apply. If you are interested in more information, there will be a brief meeting with Coach Carlson and Mr. Mullaney in the Skybox after school on Friday. You will make your bus. Hope to see you there!

For all students scheduled for AP Physics C in the fall, come to room 250 immediately after school on Thursday, May 31st. A brief discussion of the course content will be given. In addition, you will be given your Summer Assignment.

All members of the Boys Lacrosse team should meet in the Old Gym on Thursday May 31st immediately after school to return uniforms.

All boys interested in playing soccer this fall must see either Mr. Cameron, Mr. Vohden, or Mr. St. John by Thursday for information regarding the summer.

Attention Pope John community: Join us for our annual Habitat for Humanity Walk-a-Thon here at Pope John this Wednesday. Meet under the skywalk at 3 PM. $12 entry fee is your donation to Habitat and gets you a T-shirt. Come and support Habitat! Snacks will be available for purchase.

Mark your planner for Leadership's Yearbook BBQ, Latin Club Chariot Races and Showcase next Thursday! The fun begins after school. We will have food available for purchase, some games and live music. This year we are featuring a dunk tank with some of your favorite faculty members willing to take the plunge - $2 a ball or 3 balls for $5! Stay after the BBQ and watch the Showcase performance of a Year in the Life of Pope John - it promises to be a really great show full of laughs! End the year in a positive way and join us next Thursday! There is no admission charge for this event.

All members of the Freshman Softball team should hand in your uniforms to Mr. Eyer. Mr. Eyer can be found in the Phys. Ed. Office located in the OLD gym.

Eucharistic Adoration Monday through Friday Periods 5, 6, 7 in the Meditation Chapel.

Guidance Announcements

Baseball will dismiss early on Tuesday and softball on Wednesday for state games. Both around 1:15.

Seniors - Remember to check on Naviance for local scholarships that are available to you. If you have questions, please come to Guidance and we will assist you.

Students interested in attending the Criminal Justice Summer Academy for Young Adults at SCCC in early July, please see Mrs. Bent in guidance for information and an application.

Students taking the SAT on Saturday, June 2, please remember to arrive on time with your admission ticket, 2 forms of ID (one with a picture), 2 #2 pencils and a calculator.
