Pope John Student Spotlight: Caitlin Hanley '19

We at Pope John XXIII Regional High School want to share with you our “Pope John Student Spotlight” series, which recognizes our students’ talents and achievements! Today, we want to showcase Caitlin Hanley!


Hanley is a senior who has demonstrated her wide variety of talents while at Pope John. She has recently earned a spot on Penn State University’s cheerleading team after going through a tough multi-day audition. Hanley has been a four-year member and captain of the Pope John cheerleading team, which she helped win two consecutive first-place trophies in the Xtreme Routine at the Universal Cheerleading Association summer camp at Pine Forest. Hanley is also a two-time UCA All-American for cheerleading. In addition, Hanley has earned Distinguished Honors in the classroom while taking courses such as AP Psychology, AP Spanish, Honors English IV, Honors Art, Forensic Science, and History of Great Trials. Hanley is also a member of the Pope John Players, a member of the SAT 1400/ACT 31 club, and a member of All-Star cheerleading teams for Zodiacs Athletics in Oak Ridge.
