We at Pope John XXIII Regional High School want to share with you our “Pope John Student Spotlight” series in which we recognize our students’ talents and achievements! Today, we want to showcase Alexis Lee!

Lee is a senior who has demonstrated a wide variety of talents inside and outside of Pope John. She has earned Administrative Honors in the classroom and is currently taking courses such as AP Psychology, Honors English IV, Honors Pre-Calculus, and Sports and Entertainment Marketing. Lee is also a board representative for Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey. Lee, who has been involved in Girl Scouts since she was in first grade, has recently submitted a video project to earn the Gold Award, the highest national honor in Girls Scouts that is awarded to scouts who “tackle issues that are dear to them and drive lasting change in their communities and beyond. Lee’s video is called, “The Golden Garden,” which addresses the importance of preserving organic farmland and how individual food choices eventually affect everyone. The video also features advice from Lee on how to incorporate organic and non-GMO foods in people’s lives. Because of her work she did on the video, Lee received the Rachel Carson Healthy Planet Award from Chatham University.
