Pope John Student Spotlight: Afua Agyekum '21

We at Pope John XXIII Regional High School want to share with you our “Pope John Student Spotlight” series in which we recognize our students’ talents and achievements! Today, we want to showcase Afua Agyekum!

A Ghana native and a Hackettstown resident, Afua is a senior who has demonstrated great talents inside and outside of Pope John. Afua is a caring, hard-working, and respectful student who has earned Distinguished Honors in the classroom and is currently taking courses such as AP Biology, AP Human Geography, AP Psychology, Honors Calculus, English IV, and Forensic Science. Afua is also a member of the Honors Concert Chorus, mock trial, and girls track and field team. Outside of school, Afua is a volunteer at Christ Church, works with children who have special needs, and is CPR certified for babies and children. Afua also likes to read, cook, and dance. Afua plans to attend college, where she will major in pre-med. Afua wants to help provide medicine to children all over the world.
