Pope John Student Spotlight: Catie Lovett '21

We at Pope John XXIII Regional High School want to share with you our “Pope John Student Spotlight” series in which we recognize our students’ talents and achievements! Today, we want to showcase Catie Lovett!

A Vernon resident, Catie is a senior who has demonstrated great talents inside and outside of Pope John. Catie is a compassionate, hard-working, and respectful student who has earned Distinguished Honors in the classroom and is currently taking courses such as AP Biology, AP English Literature, AP Human Geography, AP Statistics, Honors Pre-Calculus, and Forensic Science. Catie is also the president of the Habitat for Humanity club and a member of the National Honor Society, English Honor Society, Math Honor Society, Pope John Ambassadors, Red Cross club, Academic Team, Honors Women Chorus, Light the Candle club, girls cross country team, swimming team, and track and field team. Outside of school, Catie is involved in the Special Olympics and a volunteer coach for the Lake Tamarack swim team. Catie has been accepted to nine colleges and universities so far and plans to study nursing. Catie wants to work as a nurse practitioner in the future after caring for a nonverbal autistic child during the summer.
