Pope John Student Spotlight: Maura Elvin '23

We at Pope John XXIII Regional High School want to share with you our “Pope John Student Spotlight” series in which we recognize our students’ talents and achievements! Today, we want to showcase Maura Elvin!

A Sparta resident, Maura is a sophomore who has demonstrated great talents inside and outside of Pope John. Maura is a respectful, hard-working, and kind student who has earned Distinguished Honors in the classroom and is currently taking courses such as Honors Chemistry, Honors Spanish III, Algebra II Accelerated Honors English II, and US History I. Maura is also a member of the Pope John Players, Honors Select Chorus, American Spirit Singers, girls volleyball team, and girls lacrosse team. Outside of school, Maura volunteers with the Pope John Middle School drama club and serves as a babysitter. Maura wants to work as a dermatologist, specifically in pediatrics, in the future because she has an interest in skin issues and likes working with children.
