Pope John Student Spotlight: Alexa Manchak '21

We at Pope John XXIII Regional High School want to share with you our “Pope John Student Spotlight” series in which we recognize our students’ talents and achievements! Today, we want to showcase Alexa Manchak!


A Sparta resident, Alexa is a senior who has demonstrated great talents inside and outside of Pope John. Alexa is a kind, hard-working, and respectful student who has earned Distinguished Honors in the classroom and is currently taking courses such as AP Biology, AP Calculus AB, AP Physics C, AP Psychology, AP Spanish, Honors English IV and Graphic Design. Alexa is also a captain for the tennis team, an officer for Key Club and a member of the National Honor Society, English Honor Society, Math Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Girls Who Code club, Spanish club, and Science League. Outside of school, Alexa works at Bubbakoo’s Burritos in Sparta, likes to play the piano, and likes to ski. Alexa has been accepted to two colleges and wants to pursue a career in computer science because she loves learning how the world works when it comes to the world of science and likes the problem-solving aspect of technology.
