SPARTA — Seniors, juniors and sophomores who are planning to attend college in the future have an opportunity to take online courses now and a practice test for the SAT in September to prepare for the real SAT in October.
There will be a SAT practice test on Sept. 20 from 5:30-9 p.m. in the Pope John cafeteria. Cost is $20 to register for the test. All proceeds from the test go to the Pope John food pantry. Registration will be accepted until Sept. 15 and space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
There will also be online courses to prepare for the SAT conducted by The Princeton Review. The courses started on Aug. 26, but they will run as late as Oct. 4. Each course provides 25 hours of live instruction from an expert, four proctored practice tests, The Princeton Review's Recommendation Engine that customizes a lesson plan for every student and its guarantee — "you'll score higher, or we'll refund your tuition." Pope John students receive a $200 discount with promo code PJHS$200NJ.
